この本は主に1879年の Begriffsschrift を解説しているようです。

これはすごく興味深い本です。Wittgenstein らを写した写真の類いが、いっぱい載っているみたいです。次の本にも、そのような写真が大量に載っていますが、

• Michael Nedo und Michele Ranchetti hg.　　Ludwig Wittgenstein: Sein Leben in Bildern und Texten, Suhrkamp, 1983

今回注文した本は、Nedo und Ranchetti 本と同一の本だろうか。それとも同一ではなく、姉妹篇のようなものなのだろうか。二つの本の相違点を記してみます。

1. 1. 今回注文の本は単著。Nedo und Ranchetti 本は共著。
   2. 今回注文の本は463ページのようで、Nedo und Ranchetti 本は394ページであり、今回の本はページ数が増えています。
   3. 今回の本には写真の類いが516枚掲載されているようですが、Nedo und Ranchetti 本は、この本を持っているので確認してみると、写真の類いが最大で490枚載っているみたいです。単純には、今回の本の方が、掲載点数が増えています。

これらの相違点から、多分今回の本と、Nedo und Ranchetti 本は、異なる本だと思うのですが、それでも恐らく今回掲載の写真の類いは、以前の Nedo und Ranchetti 本掲載の写真を多数流用しているのではないかと個人的に推測します。それともまったく新しい写真ばかりが今回載っているのだろうか。そうだとすると、とてもうれしいのですが…。取り合えず注文して、手に入ったら中を見てみることにしよう。

この論文集では、主として次の三つの話題が論じられているようです。

1. 1. The relationship between Wittgenstein's account of representation and Russell's theories of judgment
   2. The role of objects in the tractarian system
   3. Wittgenstein's philosophical method

• Edward Becker　　The Themes of Quine's Philosophy: Meaning, Reference, and Knowledge, Cambridge University Press, 2012

この本は、原稿を Quine さんに見せて意見交換し、その上で書き上げられているという点が selling point のようです。それにつられて注文しました。

目次を見る限りでは、次の方々が、解説されているみたいです。
