洋書

これは Hans Herzberger さん献呈論文集といったところ。Herzberger さんについては、よくは存じ上げておりません。Liar Paradox 関係の話で時々名前をうかがうことがあります。日本語では次の文献で、その手の話が解説されていました。山岡悦郎、『うそつきのパラドックス 論理的に考えることへの挑戦』、海鳴社、2001年、第10章、「ハーツバーガーの対処法」。正直に言うと Herzberger さんのお考えに興味を持って上記図書を購入したのではなく、この本に Tappenden さんによる Frege 研究論文が掲載されていて、それを読みたくて購入しました。この本には、以下の論文が収録されています。

この論文集は、全部で190ページほどのものですが、そのうち Tappenden さんの論文が90ページ近くを占めており、この論文だけで、本の半分ほどを使っていて、随分長い論文です。Tappenden さんの論文題名には Frege の名前が見えるので、Frege 関係の論文だとすぐわかりますが、Urquhart さんの論文も Frege 関係で、概念を単称名で表すことができないという例の問題にまつわる話です。Yablo さんの論文も、'Carving Content' と書かれていることから想像が付くように、Frege 関係、特に Neo-Fregeanism 関係です。
