出たばかりの上記文献を店頭で手に取って見てみる。
このようなtitleの本が出ることはわかっていたが、てっきり戦前の分析系とはまた別の、pragmatistの話をしている本だろうと勝手に速断し、そのような内容の本なら私の手に余るので買わないでおこうと決めていた。
しかし今日、何気なくこの新刊を覗いてみると、とても面白そうなchapterが多数並んでいる。戦後の分析系の話も色々ある。何だかよさそうだ。
だが価格が2万円以上もする。
一つ二つのchapterだけ読みたいなら、図書館・図書室に入った後、その部分をcopyすれば済むところだが、結構あれこれ読みたいchapterがたくさんある。どうせなら本自体を手元に置いておきたいところだ。
しかし2万円以上もするので躊躇してしまう。数年後には安価なpaper版が出る可能性が高いが、もしかすると出ないかもしれないし、出るにしても待っていられない気分である。
初めからこの本を買うとわかっていたら、毎月少しずつお金を貯めて購入の準備をしておくところだが、今日初めて本を見て購買意欲が湧いて来てしまったので、今さらどうしようもない。
どうしたものだろう。また買ってしまうかもしれない。しかしあと数ヶ月間、今年一杯はいつも以上に出費を抑制したいと考えていた矢先である。まいった。
