すべて最近出た Mind の同じ号のFrege関係論文。
Taschekさんの論文の要旨について言うと、Fregeは語‘true’がlogicの方向を指し示しているのだとしたが、その一方でFregeは‘true’ではなく‘assertoric force’がlogicの方向を指し示すとのことを述べている箇所もあり、これら両者の間のtensionを解きほぐそうというのが、この論文での試みのようである。
Greimannさんの論文では、Fregeのlocution‘is the True’が、Truth-Predicateには当たらないとWeinerさんによって主張されていることに対し、反論を展開されているようです。
最後のWeinerさん論文は、上記Greimannさんへの再反論。かつて自身が
Frege does not have a metatheory in the following sense: the justifications he offers for his basic laws and rules of inference neither employ nor require a truth-predicate or metalinguistic variables.
と主張したことを擁護し、Greimannさんの反論は結局間違っていると主張されているようです。
この後は、Fregeに関するまた別の研究論文を少し読み、Kantの入門書をいくらか読んでから寝ることにします。
