今回は、私が最近まで知らなかった HP をご紹介致します。私だけが知らなくて、大抵の人は既にご存知の page かもしれませんが…。
イギリスで哲学研究のセンターのようなものとしては、Arché がよく知られていると思います (細かく言うと Scotland ですが)。ここでは様々な research projects が推進されていますが、University of London の Birkbeck College で、次のような research project が行われていることを、先日私は初めて知りました。

Leader は Øystein Linnebo さんで、January 2010 から December 2013 までの a four-year research project のようです。Project description のさわりの部分だけ引用すると以下のようです。
This project aims to transform our understanding of the logical paradoxes, their solution and significance for mathematics, philosophy and semantics. It seeks to show that some of the key inferences in the paradoxes should not uncritically be blocked, as is customary, but rather be tamed and put to valuable mathematical, philosophical and semantic use. By adopting a richer logical and mathematical framework than usual, the paradoxes can be transformed from threats to valuable sources of insight. *1
この project では、過去にいくつもの seminer や workshop を開催し、そこで取り上げられた話題も興味深く、よく知られた先生方が多数呼ばれて講演しておられます。次をご覧ください。

かなり盛んに研究発表が行われているようですね。すごいな。何だかガリガリやっているという感じがします。つい先日たまたまこの research project の HP にたどり着いて、その内容に少し驚きました。がんばっておられるようです。
