このような本があるとは、最近まで知りませんでした。微積分の入門書。微積分の理論的側面の解説と、微積分の歴史の解説が、一緒になされています。理論だけとか歴史だけとかならば、ありそうな感じですが、二つともを同じぐらいの割合でみっちりやっている本は、少ないかもしれない。この本は、そのような数少ない本のうちの一つのような気がする。中を見ると、図や graph などが大量に出てくる。半端ではない。数学史上の大数学者のセリフもたくさん引用されている。とても便利で楽しそうです。この辺を勉強している方は、みんなご存じの本のようです。
